Choosing the right makeup for your eye shape

Choosing the right look for your eyeshape is sort of like choosing the right look for your eye color. Some colors are suitable for your eyeshape, and some are not. Here are some tips on how to choose the right eyemakeup to enhance your eyeshape.

Round Eyes

For round eyes, apply a light color to your lid, and a darker color in your crease. Use eyeliner on both top and bottom lids, extending the eyeliner out both on the top and bottom. Mascara should be applied more heavily on upper lashes, and lighter on lower lashes.

Use a three-layer eyeshadow effect; lightest color on the browbone, medium shade on the lid, and darkest on the lashline.  Line lower lid and outer corner of the upper lid.  Then use a brush or your finger to smudge out the lines, to create more of a smudgy smokey eye look. Then apply mascara to upper and lower lashes and you're good to go!

Most people with smaller eyes usually want to create the illusion of making them appear larger.  One way to achieve this is to stick with lighter colored shadows, and perhaps use a white eyeliner to line the upper lashline.  You can even use white to line the water line as well. This will make smaller eyes appear bigger and brighter.
